Scope and Content
This series contains a number of records for the West Jordan cemetery. The first record is an original interment register kept by the city sexton. The register contains information on those buried in the cemetery including grave location, death certificate number, name, age (years, months and days), cause and place of death, date of burial, lot location, lot owner, father's name and nationality, mother's name and nationality, and sometimes death dates. The second record is the financial records of the cemetery, listing the fees charged and account receipts for purchase of lots, as well as owner information and perpetual care. Included in the second record is information on pauper's graves.

Research Note
First burial noted is 1852, however, this record is for an individual buried at sea. Actual interment records begin in 1885.
