Scope and Content
These are press releases issued by the Utah Arts Council (UAC) to promote UAC programs and events, and to solicit applicants for grants and artistic competitions. The press releases include the following types of information: names of artists, names of UAC employees and board members, event descriptions, types of grants to be awarded, and guidelines for the grants application process.

Gaps in Series
There are none from 2000 and many years prior to 1991 may not be complete outside of a few specific topics included in the holdings. Also, there appear to be none from Oct-Dec 1993.
Processing Note
This series was processed by Anissa Taylor in October 2001, covering from 1980 to 1990. Press releases up to 2003 were processed by Gina Strack in February 2010, along with re-foldering all holdings and consolidating four boxes into 1 cu. ft.
