Scope and Content

These handwritten volumes index volumes E through part of T of the Box Elder County Commission minutes. Columns record the nature of order or proceedings, often the name(s) of interested parties, the date, and the book and page(s) in the minutes in which the proceedings are entered.

Volume 1 has columns for the nature of order or proceedings, the date, the book, and the page. Volume 2 has headings for the nature of order or proceedings and then columns for date, interested parties, a more exact description of the nature of the proceedings, book and page. Volume 3 has columns for subject; remarks, which is a further discussion of proceedings and parties involved; date; book; and page. Then, for each letter of the alphabet, there are similar pages by name rather than subject. Volume 4 has columns for name of person or entity, remarks on the nature or subject of proceedings, date, book, and page. Volume 5 is arranged the same way as Volume 2.
