Scope and Content
This series contains documentation related to candidates for various offices in the county elections of 1938. The bulk of the records are are forms reporting receipts and disbursements that candidates were required to file "in the office of the county clerk of the county" (Rev. Stat. 25-13-9 (1933)). The forms include such information as the name of the candidate, office for which he was running, a listing of receipts and expenditures, and the reporting date. Each statement is signed by the candidate and notarized. The series also includes at least one certificate of nomination for the Democratic candidate for county clerk.

Custody History
The Tooele County Clerk transferred the records in this series to the State Archives in 2014.
