Scope and Content

This series consists of eighteen petitions for candidacy for city offices in Bingham Canyon. The series is maintained in order to document nominations of candidates for city offices. The nomination of candidates for city offices in Bingham Canyon was done pursuant to the regulations of Utah Code, 20-3-38. The petitions are accompanied by statements of candidacy signed by the candidate and showing his name and address, the filing date, election date, signature of notary public, and office for which the person is a candidate. The petitions include similar information to that found in the statement of candidacy in addition to the signatures and addresses of electors and a statement that the person nominated is of good moral character.
