Scope and Content

This series contains schedules, newspaper reports, memorandums, itineraries, official letters and logs related to the security of Governor Matheson and his family. The activities of the Governor and his family are documented via the security they required for those activities. Among the major topics that appear are security concerns over the environmental group Earth First at the 20th anniversary of the Glen Canyon Dam celebration, which was attended by Governor Matheson. Another major topic of attention in this series deals with security provided to the governor and guests attending the National Governor's Association Conferences in 1982.
