Scope and Content
This volume contains handwritten copies of sheriff's returns used to document the enforcement of payments or judgments ordered by the district court. Most of the returns are executions, but the book also includes some orders of sale and writs of garnishment. Each record typically includes the names of plaintiff(s) and defendant(s), a description of how payment was obtained, date of execution, and the sheriff's signature.

Custody History
The book in this series was left in the possession of the Tooele County Clerk after the duties of the County Clerk and the Clerk of the Court were separated. The book was transferred to the State Archives for preservation in June 2014.
