Scope and Content
This series contains letters of recommendation, letters of appointment, applications, resumes, and correspondence from the Administrative Office of the Courts relating to candidates for the Justice Court Judge vacancy in Spring City. The application packets include include information about each applicant's history as a lawyer and/or judge, their education, their community and civic involvement, and other basic information. Also included in these packets are various signed waivers including a waiver of the right to review the records in the nomination and appointment processes, and a waiver of confidentiality of the information included in the packet. Applications are certified by a notary public. Other information in this series includes letters and evaluations from references about each candidate and a public comment submitted during the open public comment period.
