Scope and Content

This series contains the official record of regular and special town council meetings. The minutes describe the issues discussed in meetings and record any votes or official actions taken by the council. The minutes typically include the date and time of the meeting, the council members present, the business handled, and the time of adjournment. The official copy is usually signed by the city recorder. In some cases there are related materials filed with the minutes, such as ordinances, resolutions, or financial reports.

Gaps in Series

Since Lynndyl was incorporated in 1945, minutes would presumably have been created from that time to the present. At the time the records were microfilmed by the State Archives in 2015, no minutes prior to 1989 could be located. Furthermore, there are clearly minutes of various meetings from 1989-2014 missing, including all meetings in 2010.
