1.50 cubic feet and 1 microfiche set
These records are housed in the Utah State Archives' permanent storage room.
Scope and Content
These geological studies are produced irregularly and generally contain one article per issue. The articles contain an abstract, introduction, subject discussion, conclusions and recommendations, references, charts, graphs, photographs, and maps.
Special Studies generally contain significant amounts of original (non-compiled) material, and are of potential interest to a relatively broad segment of the scientific community.
Special Studies are authored by UGS staff but may have non-UGS co-authors. They undergo the full UGS review process to ensure that they satisfy both scientific and format standards. Special Studies require at least two formal peer reviews by subject-matter experts.
