Scope and Content

These files include documents used to administer the estates of two men, Richard Fryer who died in 1875 and James Abbott Lemon who died in 1882. William A. Bringhurst was the probate judge in both cases. Originally both the towns of Toquerville and Northup were in Kane County, but in 1882 the county boundaries were moved and these two towns ended up in Washington County. These files include documents from both counties.
