Series 28331
Heber City (Utah) Cemetery lot records
Dates: 1859-2010.
These records are housed in the Utah State Archives' permanent storage room.
Scope and Content
This series contains pre-printed forms used to record information about ownership and burials in cemetery lots. The series was likely started in the mid-twentieth century, but it includes information about purchases as early as the 1910's and burials as early as 1859. The forms provide space for recording such information as the lot owner's name, lot location, date of deed, price, purchaser name and address, and a diagram showing the relevant portions of the lot. In addition, the form allows for recording changes in ownership and payments made for purchase or for perpetual care. The reverse side of the form provides space for recording information on burials in each of the eight graves in the lot. Information recorded for each grave includes the name of the deceased, residence, birth date and place, death date and place, cause of death, gender, attending physician, parents' names, and mortuary.
