Scope and Content
This series contains records of payments made for care of cemetery lots. The ledgers were used to record lot purchases, annual payments for lot care, payments for perpetual care, and payments for grave preparation or opening. In addition to payment information, they include the lot and block numbers and the name and address of the lot owner. Ledger 1 also has numerous documents interfiled in the pages, including notes, correspondence, and purchase certificates. The dates in the container list indicated the time period when the records were created, but Ledgers 2 and 3 also include information transferred from the previous ledgers.
Arrangement
For records created from 1931 to 1949, arrangement is numerical by block and lot numbers.For records created from 1949 to 1995, arrangement is alphabetical by first letter of last name of lot owner.
