Scope and Content
This series contains correspondence, memorandum, publications, and technical reports compiled by the Utah Division of Environmental Health. Included in this series are records documenting Utah's role in federal proposals to store nuclear waste, the impacts of radiation on Utah workers and citizens, and the hazards of exposure to a wide-variety of chemicals and dangerous occupational environments. The series also includes information on specific laws and regulations governing occupational health safety, as well as published material from the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

The records in this series were originally accessioned into the Utah State Archives permanent collection under Series 14167 (Division of Environmental Health: Administrative Records). The decision was made during processing to create a new series to better reflect content and improve accessibility.
