Scope and Content

This book provides information on inquiries held on criminal complaints in the Sixth District Court of Kane County brought by the prosecutor to decide if a trial is warranted, in which case an indictment is issued. Specific criminal indictments in this book include murder, grand larceny, cattle rusting, assault, fornication, breaking and entering, embezzlement, incest, rape, slander, obstructing justice, and forgery. The information precedes entering of a plea and any trial date.
