Scope and Content
This series contains an index book created for the purpose of tracking probate actions handled by Sixth District Court in Sevier County. It lists the name of parties involved in probate proceedings, and applicable probate register books and page numbers. The first volume covers Register of Estate books One to Five while the second covers every Register of Estate book created by the court between 1898 and 1991.

Research Note
There is no known register book containing entries 1 to 239 (1896-1898). However, both index books contain citations for these cases, so they can be used to facilitate access to the earliest probate case files created by the court.
