Scope and Content
This series contains alphabetic indexes created by the Third District Court in Summit County, to record the names of the parties involved in civil actions and provide assigned case numbers, facilitating clerical management of and access to the case files. There are two sets of index books in this series. Each set is comprised of a book indexed by plaintiff surname and another indexed by defendant surname.

Custody History
Books were removed from the court office in Coalville in October, 2007 for filming at the Utah State Archives. The books were returned to the court in November, 2007.
