Scope and Content
This series contains a record of the legislative action taken by the council to regulate, require, prohibit, govern, control, or supervise any activity, business, conduct, or condition authorized by UCA 10-3-701 to 715 (1997). Ordinances typically include a number, a title, preamble, an ordaining clause, the body or subject of ordinance, when applicable, penalty of violation, effective date, and the signatures of the mayor and town clerk. The series also includes some resolutions adopted to document policy decisions or to make a public statement about views or intentions of the council.
Records in this series dating from 1935 to 2006 were microfilmed in 2007. Records from 1935 to 2017 were microfilmed in 2018. While there is considerable duplication in these two copies of the records, the order and content of the records do differ in some respects.

Generally by subject, thereunder chronological by adoption date for records filmed in 2007. Generally chronological by adoption date for those filmed in 2018.
