Scope and Content
This series is comprised of three index books kept by the clerk of the Fifth District Court in Beaver County. The books provide names of parties, place where recorded (record book, judgment docket, minute book, etc.), and usually a case or file number for actions taken in civil, criminal, and probate cases heard by the court. The file numbers can be used to track both the case file generated by the court as well as entries maintained in the assorted registers of action kept by the clerk. While the content remains roughly the same the manner by which information was recorded varies between the three volumes.
