Scope and Content
The portion of these records available to the public contains death register entries for the years 1892 to 1905. Each entry has an assigned number, name of decedent, age, place of death, sex, color, marital status, occupation, birthplace, parents' names, parents' nativity, place of interment, date of interment, date of death, duration of illness, cause of death, physician's name, undertaker's name, where the body was shipped, and the number of the transit permit. Many records have incomplete entries.

Research Note
The reference copy of this reel contains deaths from 1898-1905 only. As sections of this reel were still not public records at the time of processing and death certificates after 1905 are available through series 81448, the decision was made to cut the reference copy film to allow public access to records pre-dating 1905 and the creation of death certificates statewide. Any duplicates made will need to have non-public records removed prior to release.

Access Restrictions
Records less than 50 years old are considered non-public. As such, the reference copy of this film was cut to make the 1892-1905 period of this register accessible to the public, with 1905 and more recent records available through the statewide death certificates in series 81448. If further copies of this microfilm are requested, the copies should have the non-public sections of the register removed before access is allowed.
