Scope and Content
The county recorder created an index to identify page numbers in Abstract Books B-B 4 in which he entered abstracts for land in each section in Washington County townships. References cite page numbers in abstract books where entries were made for that section.
Arrangement
Numerical by range, thereunder numerical by township.
The index presents each range in numerical order, 10-20, and within each range includes a page for each township in numerical order, 38-43. Each page has 36 lines, on which are recorded references for a section of that township.
