Scope and Content
This series is comprised of a one volume report published by the Utah Educational Survey Committee in fulfillment of their 1939 appointment by Governor Henry H. Blood. Their purpose was to identify significant problems of public education in Utah and to produce a report for presentation to the Governor "on or before July 1, 1940." The Committee's report includes their findings, conclusions and recommendations for legislative action. The report is based upon hearings, committee deliberations, and a series of extended research reports prepared by special research groups. This one volume report includes these various research reports in addition to the Committee's own.
