Scope and Content
This series is made up of reports submitted to outline centennial celebrations, projects, and activities as well as to summarize the accomplishments of the Centennial Commission. Records include a 7-page progress report (December 31, 1946), an 8-page "Prospectus of Daily Programs and Problems to Be Met in Preparation of the Centennial Celebration" (May 25 to July 3, 1947), a copy of the 3-page "Director's Report" (September 5, 1947), a carbon copy of the 3-page "Annual Report" (December 10, 1947), and a 110-page, printed booklet known as the "General Report" (1948). The "General Report" is the most comprehensive of the reports and provides the most useful and best overall documentation of the centennial and the history, organization, and work of the commission.
