Scope and Content
This is an alphabetical index of companies incorporated to do business in the State of Utah and was created by the Division of Corporations to facilitate access to the Incorporation Case Files. The series provides name of incorporation, case file number and incorporation date for corporations active, or only recently expired, at that time.

Research Note
This series does not contain a complete listing of all corporations filed with the state over time. Researchers should consult the various indexes and card files to find the case number of the corporation they are researching.

Processing Note
Incorporation records and indexes were first scheduled as permanent records in 1978. The index was microfilmed by the Utah State Archives in June 1999. The entire series was archivally processed by David Clark in July 1999.
