Scope and Content
These records are the correspondence for the State Planning Board's water resources committee members. Included are letters from the National Resources Board, memoranda explaining committee decisions, calls to meetings, and letters of public interest. The main subjects are the Bear River, Bonneville Basin, Colorado River Basin, Salt Lake municipal Uintah Basin, water works, and water storage.
The State Planning Board actively cooperated with federal, state, and local agencies for the development and conservation of water resources. Early in the development of state planning, these agencies began their studies by gathering data on a wide range of water resources subjects.
