Scope and Content
This series contains press releases (which consist of statements, proclamations, speeches, reports, appointments, and any other information that Governor Rampton presumably wished to be released to the press) as well as official memoranda to heads of state departments. Also included in this series are documents generated for Rampton's third gubernatorial campaign in 1972, no doubt for publicity purposes.
Arrangement
Chronological by date.
Materials dated 1965 are divided into categories of "general" and "appointments;" materials dated 1972 are divided into "general" materials and "reports on Rampton's gubernatorial record, speeches." Undated materials have been kept in the order in which they were found.
