Scope and Content
This series contains executive orders issued by Governor Rampton from 1965 to 1976. Executive orders were issued by the Governor when events or other circumstances necessitated his prompt attention and action to a problem or issue. Many of the executive orders that were issued by Governor Rampton called for extraordinary sessions of the Legislature in order to deal with pressing legislation, such as the reorganization of the executive branch of the Utah government under the recommendations of the Little Hoover Commission. Most of the executive orders are photocopies.
