Scope and Content

This series contains laws adopted by the Town and City Council to regulate, require, prohibit, govern, control, or supervise any activity, business, conduct, or condition authorized by state law. The series includes the initial ordinances of 14 chapters adopted by the Council in 1909. The Town published a volume of Revised Ordinances in 1923 and an Ordinance Book contains individual ordinances passed between 1934 and 1951. The microfilm contains Council minutes from April 1931- January 1937, which include ordinance adopted in that time period. The microfilm also includes a version of the City Code current to January 2006.

Centerfield City transferred original records dating from 1909-1978 to the State Archives in September 2019.
