A group of widows and businessmen in Carbon County sent this petition to the committee requesting that the fund be distributed as lump sums instead of as monthly allowances. Chairman Imer Pett explained (as recorded in the minutes) that it was in their best interest to leave the fund invested in liberty bonds and in interest bearing accounts. He also explained that the committee was not being compensated for their work. (Series 19624, Reports)
